Ways to Help
๐Make blankets
Please visit "Blanket Guidelines" tab for blanket making instructions. You can even host your own blanket making event with your organization.
๐Join us at our Blanket Making Days
Help us make blankets and meet other "blanketeers"! Go to the "Blanket Days" tab for locations, dates and times.
๐Make a tax deductible monetary donation
We are a volunteer organization and rely on generous donations. If you would like to donate, contact a coordinator or send a check payable to: Project Linus Headquarters, PO Box 1548, Belton, MO 64012 and indicate the donation is for the Salt Lake County chapter in order for us to receive credit to our account.
๐Smith's Inspiring Donations
If you are a Smith's rewards card holder, please go to https://www.smithsfoodanddrug.com/i/community/smiths-inspiring-donations, create a digital account (if you don't already have one), and designate "Project Linus Salt Lake County" as your organization of choice to which to donate. Smith's will donate 0.5% of all eligible spending to the organizations that you have linked to your Rewards Card. All you have to do is link your card to us and use your card when you shop!
๐Purchase items from our Amazon Wish List and Walmart registry
Go to our "Wish List" tab for more information.
๐Donate materials
We are accepting donations of fleece or flannel fabric only, batting, thread or other sewing notions. Thanks to many generous donations, our shelves are overflowing and we cannot accept donations of cotton/quilting fabric and yarn at this time. Below is a list of contacts for other organizations who may take your fabric/yarn donations:

๐Register for a special event
Throughout the year, Project Linus National Headquarters sponsors special fundraising events such as Knit & Crochet Along, Quilting Challenges, etc. Go to our "Announcements" tab for current events or projectlinus.org for more information on current and past events.
๐Become a blanket "finisher"
Jackie and Chris from the Riverton group are behind on finishing quilt tops and they could use a few extra hands! Finishing is simple (or as fancy as you want to be), and Chris will provide everything you need - top, batting, backing, and thread. Call Chris at 801-550-9916 to get started, get more information, or if you have any questions!
๐Hold a fundraiser with your organization or as a service project
Consider a bake sale, yard sale or other fundraiser and use the money raised to donate to our chapter or purchase items from our Amazon Wish List and Walmart.com registry. Go to our "Wish List" tab for more information.
๐Fun & Furry Fundraiser Idea
Looking for a creative youth service project? How about making adorable dog toys from our extra fleece (yes, we've got the scraps and the pattern ready for you)! Your group can craft the toys, sell them to friends and family, and then donate the proceeds to support our chapter. It's a "paws-itively" fun way for kids to take the lead from start to finish! Contact Karen Heaton at slcprojectlinus@gmail.com for details.
