thank you for all you do - we couldn't do it without fabulous blanketeers!
This chapter serves children in need in the Salt Lake County area. Our mission is to:
(1) provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers" and
(2) provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
And no red or yellow blankets for the NICU blankets, right? I asked my NICU-nurse mother-in-law about the whys of this one...no red she said is because if the kiddo is bleeding they'd like to be able to see it right away...no yellow is so they can better gauge jaundice.
ReplyDeleteWe donate to lots of locations, so any color is fine. If the NICU can't use them, they share with other departments. Bright, colorful, kid friendly, all are great!
