I've been trying to comment on Allison's post about blanket colors & am experiencing technical difficulties...arrgh! Learning something new (like blogging & how to use my droid x) is always a challenge. So...here's that I've been trying to say...
Thanks Allison for the first comment on our new blog! It is our understanding that if a blanket can not be used in a specific area, such as the red & yellow in the NICU, the hospital will send it over to another area for use. Sometimes babies are less critical & color isn't a worry. We love all bright colors for project linus blankets. The brighter & more kids friendly, the better! Looking foward to north valley blanket making tomorrow. So much fun!
This chapter serves children in need in the Salt Lake County area. Our mission is to:
(1) provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers" and
(2) provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
