This
is the month of the First Day of Spring!
Sunshine is coming
We deliver to the
Army National Guard so that they can give security blankets to the children of
newly deployed soldiers. Here is a note
from one mom.
“My kids received blankets from your
organization right before their
dad
got deployed. They love the
blankets!
Thanks so much,
A Soldier’s Wife”
From Shriners Hospital:
“It is such a pleasure to accept these
many gifts of 16 hand made blankets…” “Your
generosity and thoughtfulness will help make a difference in the lives of the
children we serve and further our mission in pr9oviding quality orthopedic care
regardless of the patient or patient’s family’s ability to pay.”
Sweet Charity Sisters
If you have a group
of 20 or 30 quilters, you better have a very large home to work in, as setting
up three quilt frames takes a lot of space.
That’s what Sharon Allred and her daughter DeMae have, and they share it
with all their quilting friends every other Tuesday. They gather and work all day, enjoying lunch
together that the members host on a rotating schedule.
Claudeen Luckart
recently contacted me to pick up 17 beautiful hand-made quilts donated to
PL. This group of ambitious women also
makes other kinds of blankets and they participate in many other charity
projects. They are privately funded by
the volunteer participants, so are always up for receiving donations and fabric.
Their purpose is to serve and they share
an enthusiasm for sewing, giving, and charity.

Thanks to all of you
who give your time and talent to Project Linus.
It may be sewing, cutting, delivering, packaging, labeling, shopping –
no matter what you do it helps accomplish our goal. By working together we can improve the lives
of children and put smiles on their faces.
Happy Spring! Millie
