Major Milestones Achieved in 2025

Wow, what a remarkable year 2025 was for our chapter.  Thanks to your kindness, time and generous hearts, we were able to distribute more than 3,000 handmade blankets to children in need throughout Salt Lake County.  That is over 500 more blankets than we distributed in 2024 and it truly speaks to the dedication of our amazing volunteers.

Even more inspiring, in 2025 our chapter surpassed an extraordinary milestone.  Since we began in 2007, more than 40,000 Project Linus blankets have been lovingly created and shared with children in our community.  That number is simply astounding, and it would not be possible without each and every one of you.

Adding to the excitement, National Project Linus celebrated its 30 year anniversary on December 24th and has delivered over 10,000,000 blankets nationwide in those 30 years.  What a wonderful milestone for an organization built on compassion and service.

Renewed Focus on Quality for 2026

As we step into the new year, we are excited to continue serving as many children as possible while also placing a special emphasis on exceptional quality.  These blankets are more than fabric and thread.  They are gifts of comfort, warmth, and love.  Each one should reflect our very best work and be something you would feel proud to give to your own child, grandchild, or a special child in your life.

When a blanket carries a Project Linus label, it represents not only the maker, but also a national organization known for care, compassion, and quality.  To our wonderful Blanketeers, thank you for taking pride in your craft and for donating blankets made with care and heart.

Staying Connected In The New Year

As we move into 2026, we also want to share a minor update about our communication.  Our news update will be posted every other month rather than monthly.  Any special announcements, updates, changes to blanket making days, etc., will be shared as needed, so you will always stay in the loop.  We invite you to check our blog in between news updates to stay up to date with the latest information.

Thank you for all that you do to bring comfort and smiles to so many children.  We are so grateful to be part of this journey with you and look forward to another meaningful year together.
